This is the best time to trek. The weather stays cool and the views are clear. Avoid rainy months as the trail gets too slippery.
You need permission from the forest office. It opens at 7 AM. Carry your ID and reach early to avoid crowds.
Try reaching the base by 7 AM. You’ll have more time to enjoy the view. Late entries after 2 PM are not allowed.
Bring at least two litres of water per person. Once you start the trek, there are no shops on the way.
Walk through tea gardens, forests, and rocky trails. Every step brings a new view. Don’t rush, take it all in.
The lake is called Hridaya Thadakam. It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot. Sit for a while and click some photos.
The final part of the trek is risky and not allowed officially. If you go ahead, it’s at your own risk.
Carry insect repellent and wear long clothes. Don’t litter. Stick to the marked trail and avoid disturbing animals.
