Long ago, Udaipur had water problems. To fix this, the kings built seven beautiful artificial lakes like Pichola, Fateh Sagar, and Badi.
The lakes in Udaipur are smartly connected. This helps control floods and keeps the city full of water throughout the year.
Lake Pichola is the oldest and most iconic. Fateh Sagar is peaceful and surrounded by hills. Udai Sagar and Rajsamand are known for their stunning sunset views.
If you want calm and fewer crowds, visit Badi Lake, Swaroop Sagar, or Goverdhan Sagar. These lakes are perfect for a peaceful break.
In Udaipur, a lake is never too far away. Whether you're at a café, palace, or just walking around, you’ll always see the water nearby.
