How to spend a day in Bir

7:00 AM

Wake up to the breathtaking view from The Hosteller Bir and enjoy a delicious breakfast at our hostel for a long exciting day ahead.

8:00 AM

Visit Chokling Monastery, one of Bir's most famous Tibetan monasteries. The lush lawns, the serene atmosphere, and the colorful flags fluttering in the breeze make this one of the most peaceful places in Bir.

10:00 AM

Head to the Billing Paragliding take-off point, an hour's drive. Enjoy the valley from a height through a 15 to 20 min paragliding session that ends at the Bir landing site.

1:00 PM

Grab lunch at Bir's Bimla Dhaba and enjoy home-cooked, simple, delicious food.

Things to do in Bir

Walk through the tea gardens and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. It is beautiful to see women laborers plucking fresh tea leaves from all these estates while carrying baskets and children on their backs.
Sherabling comprises large buildings and stupas partially hidden by pine forests and colorful festoons on the sides of the road. You may hear monks chanting mantras in the prayer hall, creating a spiritual atmosphere.
The beautiful Gunehar waterfall is a prime attraction from the Guenhar village, tucked between the mountains. Located at 100 ft., you can reach the gorgeous Gunehar waterfall through a short trek from the town. The waterfall is popular among tourists and photography buffs for its crystal-clear waters against majestic mountain views.
Baijnath Temple is a Nagara-style Hindu temple that houses the ‘God of Healing,’ Lord Shiva. You will find intricate images carved on the walls in the interior as well as the exterior. This temple's water is thought to have medical properties and can treat various illnesses and disorders.
Barot is a stunningly picturesque village located 53 km away from Bir and 67 km from Mandi, known for its many trekking paths. The gorgeous surroundings are appealing, and the clean air lures visitors worldwide for sightseeing and other activities.
