How to spend a day in Shangarh

7:00 AM

Start your day fresh at The Hotsteller property in Shangarh, enjoying the tremendous and lush Shangarh meadows over a hot cup of water.

8:00 AM

Have a filling breakfast from our in-house cafe at the hostel in Shangarh. Energise yourself with a delicious breakfast and get ready for the adventure!

10:30 AM

Head towards Barshangarh Falls, a short drive from Shangarh and followed by a hike about half a kilometre. You can spend quality time here and can also dip in the high water.

9:00 AM

Start your day by visiting the Sangchul Mahadev Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Stroll in the adjacent lush green meadows surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks.

Things to do in Shangarh

Jangaon Thach is a 4-5 hour walk with an easy to moderate level that begins and ends at No Society Cafe, where guides are offered. The trek is through the forests and ends at an alpine meadow of unparalleled beauty. Spend some quiet time at the top, unwind and rejuvenate your tired self.
Raila Fort and Waterfall are believed to have been built by the Katoch dynasty in the 16th century. The fort is now in ruins but still attracts visitors for its historical significance and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The waterfall is a beautiful natural attraction surrounded by lush green forests and mountains, with a height of 100 feet and a small pool at the bottom. The trek to the waterfall is relatively easy and can be completed in about an hour.
Shangarh Meadows is a picturesque meadow in the town of Shangarh, popular among nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. At 2,700 meters it offers panoramic views of the mountains. The best time to visit is from April to June and September to November when the weather is pleasant. Visitors can trek through the dense forest to reach the field.
Deohari Village in Sainj Valley is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, offering a range of outdoor activities such as trekking, camping, rock climbing, and swimming. It is also home to the Deohari Mata Temple, a famous pilgrimage site with panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Upper Neahi is a small village situated at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level, surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys. It is popular among nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts for its picturesque natural beauty, trekking routes, apple orchards, and local culture and traditions.
