Leh does not have a railway station. The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi, located approximately 663 kilometers away. From there, you can take a bus or hire a cab to reach Leh, a journey that takes about 14-15 hours.
The Leh Bus Stand is about 2.8 km from the hostel, roughly a 10-minute drive. It’s the main hub for buses arriving from Manali, Srinagar, and other parts of Ladakh. Hop in a cab or enjoy a short stroll to reach the hostel.

We provide lockers in the dormitories only. Every bed has an attached locker for guests to keep their valuables. It is advised that you carry a lock for the locker if needed. POLICIES
The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. As a brand, we do not recommend families and do not allow all those below 18 years of age to stay with us, nor do we allow admission of kids or infants under 18 years old, even if travelling with legal guardians.
Drugs/Substance/Alcohol abuse is STRICTLY prohibited at all our hostels. In case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs/alcohol during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel immediately and would be blacklisted from staying at our hostels forever.
All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.
We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people travelling together. Allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability. That will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in.
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management.
All guests are mandatorily required to do a pre-arrival contactless check-in via the Glu app (link of which is shared with each guest immediately post booking via Whatsapp).
100% prepayment is mandatory at our hostels on or prior to check-in to ensure guaranteed booking.
In case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. Note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time.
Outside food is strictly prohibited inside the hostel.
The Hosteller Leh is pet friendly. We permit pets only for private room guests and not dorm bookers. Pets are strictly not allowed in the dorms. Any damages, in case, incurred during the stay shall be attributable to the pet owners.
The Hosteller reserves the right to admission based on the discretion of the management.
