1. Step Into The Shoes Of Royalty

Full of rich culture and an even richer history, Udaipur promises you a peek into the royal lifestyle through the grandeur of palaces and museums as it greets you in style. On the bank of Lake Pichola, City Palace has a grand entrance that will leave you awestruck. Through the windows on the top floor, you will get a view of the whole city with a backdrop of the Aravalli mountain range. Jagmandir Palace (also known as Lake Palace), in the middle of Lake Pichola, was specifically built as a summer palace to cool off from the scorching heat of Udaipur. 

2. Bring Your Saheliyan To Saheliyon Ki Bari

Saheliyon ki bari is a beautiful garden which was built by Maharana Sangram Singh II for the royal ladies and their maidens. There is a lotus pool surrounded by beautiful fountains in the garden. It is open to everyone at a nominal ticket price. Along with that, it also contains beautiful marble elephant structures and a museum that you can explore.

Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia dynasty in the 1550s, Udaipur served as the capital after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar during the war. Additionally, the presence of the Aravalli mountain range (which adds beauty) gave this fertile land a strategic prominence and kept it protected. All in all, you can learn more about this interesting history while you take a trip to Udaipur.

Home to Jagmandir Palace, Lake Pichola can be enjoyed at its best in the evening. On one side there is City Palace and on the other side with the backdrop of the Aravalli mountains stands Jagmandir. Though it is located a few kilometres from Fateh Sagar Lake, it's spread over a 70 acres area and totally worth a visit. You can explore the handicrafts as well as the rural and tribal lifestyle and art. This quaint little place is not just for art lovers but also for some much-needed peace and calm.

7. Experience The Rustic White City
