The closest way by air to Wayanad is Calicut International Airport (Kozhikode airport), situated approximately 69 km away. Upon arrival, you have the convenience of opting for a direct taxi or catching a local bus for a seamless journey to Wayanad.
For those traveling from the northern parts of India, the nearest railway station to Wayanad is Calicut Railway Station in Kerala, located about 61 km away. Alternatively, the more prominent Kozhikode railway station is 110 km distant. From either station, you can conveniently secure a taxi or board a direct bus to complete your journey to Wayanad.
Upon arriving at Calicut (Kozhikode) Railway Station, you can go to the KSRTC Bus Stand. From this bus stand, there are multiple buses servicing routes to various parts of Wayanad, including destinations like Kalpetta, Sulthan Bathery, and Mananthavady, as well as to Mysore. State transport buses also run from Bengaluru, Mysore, Kochi, Mangalore, Trivandrum, Chennai etc. to Kozhikode or Waya

Are there lockers in the dorms?
We provide lockers in the dormitories only. Every bed has an attached locker for guests to keep their valuables. It is advised that you carry a lock for the locker if needed. However, availing a padlock from the reception will be subject to availability and at an additional cost. It is advised that you carry a lock.
Does the hostel have parking?
Yes, the hostel has a parking lot but it's subject to availability.
Does the hostel have AC in rooms?
No, air conditioning is not available at the hostel.
POLICIES
The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. As a brand, we do not recommend families and do not allow all those below 18 years of age to stay with us, nor do we allow admission of kids or infants under 18 years old, even if travelling with legal guardians.
Guests with local IDs are allowed.
Visitor (Non-resident guests) timings: 10 AM to 8 PM only. In case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. Note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time.
Drugs/Substance/Alcohol abuse is STRICTLY prohibited at all our hostels. In case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs/alcohol during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel immediately and would be blacklisted from staying at our hostels forever.
All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the dorms is strictly prohibited.
We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people travelling together. Allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability. That will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in.
The Hosteller's Unbox Cafe serves vegetarian options. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes.
